Himalayan Salt FCL & LCL Container Shipping
Full container load vs. less-than-container load — how we load, how much fits, and which option makes sense for your order size.
FCL vs. LCL, in Practice
A full container load (FCL) is your own dedicated 20ft or 40ft container — the best per-unit pricing, but it needs enough order volume to fill. A less-than-container load (LCL) shares container space with other shipments, so you pay for only the volume you use — a better fit for a first order or a smaller recurring purchase.
How Much Fits in a Container
- A 20ft container holds roughly 24–26 tonnes of bagged bulk salt
- Or roughly 2,400–2,800 boxed lamps in mixed weight bands
- Mixed containers combine product categories to fill the available volume
- A 40ft container roughly doubles 20ft capacity for recurring high-volume buyers
Choosing the Right Option
We recommend LCL or a mixed pallet for a first order so you can validate quality and your own resale channel before committing to full-container volume, then move to FCL once your reorder rate justifies it — most of our long-term distributor accounts made that same transition.
Frequently Asked
How many salt lamps fit in a 20ft container?
Roughly 2,400–2,800 boxed lamps in mixed weight bands, depending on the size mix you order.
Should a first-time buyer start with FCL or LCL?
LCL or a mixed pallet is usually the better starting point — it lets you validate quality and resale before committing to full-container volume.
